Growing up my Grandfather, loved the Chicago Cubs… To be quite honest, today…I love the Chicago White Sox more!
My Granddad and I stayed in Wrigley Field quite a bit! Sitting in the sweltering sun each time we decide to go watch in Wrigley Field. I knew the players and positions quite well. It was apart of my daily diet of being a sport enthusiast in our home!
My Grandfather loved and cherished “baseball” more than any sport and he made it his business to let you know this was his thing! He would listen to the games with his pocket transistor radio with ear plugs.
Although, my Grandfather has been deceased for sometime…I wish he was alive to see one of his favorite Mr. Cub, had finally got his honor on Clark Street March of 2008! The sculptor Lou Cella made it happen! !
Hello Wrigley Field whose counting 100 years? And Congratulations Mr. Banks you finally made to the Big Leagues anyway!
