When we watch the media… we have to exercise better judgment what is truth and what is fiction. Although, many complain about what the media expresses…Social media, reality shows and all forms of media still blows up with the addiction for the attention! From exhibitionist… to some positive aspects of the greater good! People do more on a social sites than a dinner with their families. Where is the line in just sheer common sense?
Yet many of the media rogues always seem to be right there to suck up the light. I am sorry to burst the bubble of the foolish…You have to separate this media frenzy from the heart of the flesh!
1)Everyone doesn’t have my best interest
2)Everyone that gets behind a podium doesn’t speak for me and represent what my truths and my belief system … especially if it doesn’t line up with the truth and being the truth!
I have no idea why people call up certain individuals in social or community activists…to speak up on behalf of our community when half the time they really don’t know the really struggles for the people who live in the war zones with the private pain! Some fake surface relationship with the community. They know the lingo… but doesn’t mean that they care!
I don’t care how many people put on special t-shirts,or buttons. It’s what is happening when there is no fan fare or no one looking!
Have you seen the political figures including our President who is taking a pounding?… Hair is graying a lot… aging rapidly… and the young are dying! It’s more trouble than pleasure.. It’s not easy even when the cameras are not rolling… the worst sides begins to take its toll on their lives and health!
Whenever someone gets in trouble it’s amazing how much of a “crook”they are …. Then they are the ones they call when there is a problem within Afro and Brown communities. What happened they stop being crooks because certain some mean spirited person got caught up? Funny isn’t it?
It’s no more than a sideshow, political ploys and a bunch of hot air!
Lets get realistic…We are going to have to better educate our people on many things…How to spot a clown should be advocate first on the list!
Chicago got a whole lot of these so-called community activist-ism… but oh boy… do I got some stories to tell what goes on behind when ain’t no cameras rolling! If you think being popular, having power and money isn’t addictive… WAKE UP!
It is really one of first dosage for seduction to the power and status. Pretty soon, some will sell their story and soul to devil to be posted up with the who’s who? SILLY RABBITS!
The real change starts in our own hearts and homes!
It can happen to anyone of us… that is why we have to stay on the wall! I have seen people get sucked up with the attention and lose all focus on what they “say” they stand for! Even Las Vegas know how to draw you in with the lights, but in Chicago has some desperate wanna be’s and they take advantage of God’s people because many walk around ignorant when they should question motives and personal self promotion.
No one dead child is less important than the other one! It’s the devil that draw them in …trust me!
I have warned the community about the people who will self-promote, and use the pain of others to push their hidden agendas. I have propose this question… If the media is always garbage why are many posted up with their best sides and selfies! Get out of here!
I am a registered voter, I am very involved in the community and other outside ministries … And where I have to go I doubt if anyone want to really know and feel the true heart of the people! It’s not popular and it’s not pretty!
It takes courage to be the truth and speak the truth and really go where they are not going to go. If I am truly about the business of God… the first thing I have to do is …
1)Die to my own rotten flesh..
2)Die to what people think,
3)Kick the messiness of others to the side.
And I ask myself this question… What is this really about? Let the peace of God be your umpire!
God knows every secret agenda of every persons heart… This is for those individuals who are slick as Crisco! It’s not always what is done that appears legit …but the motives behind what they do! Who is it really for?
Evil isn’t going to speak for me or represent me even if it comes as a form of the truth. We have to really break this cycle of ignorance. We must re- solidify as a people and confront different things that come in false pretenses saying they represent us!
Although, many may say that they come to help us and restore us… but it’s really what is done in secret without having to prove exactly what their motives are that will be proven… to be about the business!

When I looked at my phone to get my news periodically to stay abreast of what’s going on… And what did I see on Saturday doing my afternoon errands and appointments.. I saw a mother on her knees… surrounded by the police no hands were up… no one hands around anyone’s neck…Demario Bailey’s 15 year old student of Johnson College Prep, body…with viaduct.
My heart ached… Another mother who was raising her children as upstanding human beings…Honor student keeping him in activities this wasn’t enough for the heathens…Thank God his twin got away but remember… his mind will have those scars of this dreadful day of going to basketball practice. His mother has to go back in her mind what could have she done differently!
This is when I actually wanted to find the monsters that had no value for human life and murdered for a coat… REALLY?
I felt that tingling in my nose to cry… holding my tongue within my cheeks to not cry in public. Another beautiful son, murdered by his own race. How many times have we seen the yet again?…
I had to go someplace and cry quietly… I have never lost a child but I have lost too many to count in Chicago alone to gun violence. What breaks me down the most although, we go back to life as usual… and before Christmas his people have this memory of the death! There was no one lying in the streets but Demario Bailey… and I heard that death wail from this mother!

PROTESTS… POLICIES… AND PURPOSE
I pray that the people don’t lose the momentum of what matters wisely. We can get on our soap boxes and preach all day long about “Black Life Matters”. Black life has always mattered but it has to first become apparent to our community that all life is precious…whether a black life is taken by a police officer or among each other … Everyone is real delicate when discussing race, who has the courage to say… exactly what the truth really is.
Our people have too many “irons” in the fire that we haven’t quite addressed. Pumping our fists and protest is only the beginning we still must first learn to get along with each other and alleviate the foolishness of murdering one each other within our community. There is a lost of respect for black and brown human lives within our own communities that were unjust!
Sadly, I never saw the outrage when someone’s loved one was lying face down in their own pool of blood and no one cared about the black life then! What am I saying? We got to stop hurting one another and band together to stop others from hurting us. Police brutality is nothing is new and just like race has isn’t dealt with.
LET ME GIVE YOU ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE ON THIS… We can’t just stop with police brutality of black lives but we have to hit this from every possible angle! It sounds so hypocritical that black life mattered but it didn’t mater when no one shows up for the most pertinent Town Hall Meetings or forums to discuss the root of solving gun violence…and how to stop it no one lies in the streets then!
It absolutely turns into who has the biggest “ego”. Cleverly the same monsters show up making a mockery out of God’s people by playing on emotions. We don’t need anymore “reality community” shows played in our midst! It’s funny how many loathe what the media has to say but always seems to post up for the cameras!
Yet, you can’t change an image until we must first love one another and stop the viciousness of violence and respect each other and show the world how to respect us!
Don’t allow anyone in government to close their eyes to racism and police brutality but we have to remove the blinders off of our eyes regarding what is coming out of our own communities!
How many more movements will the world need until we first confront what we have fail to confront? In this country it’s founded on many things but represent often hypocrisy and disrespect!
We have get out of denial the change is going to start with one initial contact of just love being more than paying it forward but realistically we have to show others how to treat us for the better …It’s not going to be easy but we have to bring wisdom, balance and face some hard truths about what is happening with black on black crime and brown on brown!
Get everyone out of your heads with just a mere protest but being the truth agent of change. Our people must first stop being open season on each other! What I see is a spiritual cancers and community perversion. It’s not okay for a Police Officer to unjustly murder no more than it’s okay for a brother to murder another brother…
Christians your responses should always be different and not out of ignorance but the wisdom of God… And that’s not what many are doing …
But ask…What would Jesus really do? … Praying for those who persecute you…Not so easy to do is it? We have always had people in wrong positions hurting, maiming, murdering or killing God’s people! Now the sad part is how we execute on every matter regarding any life… black or white… Unification isn’t going to come if it’s two wrongs!
Yes, we need total reformation within the policies and hiring within every police department… Why are you in service or civil positions knowing you have to work with all people without prejudices?… I can’t just stop at the police departments around this country… but there is a lot of anger, bitterness and hatred inbreeding among our own! The power of change
No offense… but there has been very little mention of protest about the ignorance that runs a muck within our own people… No one is speaking of reconciliation with each other and then the heart of forgiveness!
There are many protests I would love to see advocated…but it wouldn’t just start and end with the police… Let it start with being “agent of change” with us!
