“II Timothy 2:3 ..Thou therefore endure in hardness…like a good soldier of Jesus Christ”
On today … I had to go back and reflect on my spiritual resume. No matter how successful you are…how many accomplishments, how spiritual you think you …Satan will come and push your forehead during times of distress and the real you will surface. The perpetration of frauds. They sound real good… look real nice… and the pressure cooker brings everything to the top. Then comes whirling the truth of what they think about you, anyone else for that matter.
…There is nothing like helping everyone else and your bleeding from the inside yourself. I don’t mask pain… Masking pain will only surface in another manner. I don’t pull my bottom drawer out… I just had to learn to move during my night season in life. In honesty this comes with learning to depend on God.
I remember all the people God had placed in my life and I am blown away with the similarities in our lives today… Many who are still here and going strong I see the warfare in their lives… be it finances, health, marriages, family… and so on.
Some fell by the waste side… caught up in the money, the fame and or everything in between.
Many Generals of God are leaving or have passed a way. I was discouraged to look around and wonder exactly who are we really going to pass the baton too. I know this is difficult to swallow but it is the truth. What can this generation really handle? Materialism is ruining a lot our children. Yet, many of the young adults might know all the right lingo, the right wardrobe until the go through the test… many aren’t as strong as we would like them to be. Children have been either beat down… or nurtured to death!
What good is knowledge and can’t discern when to apply it?
Many might say verbally that we have to give it to the next generation but how can we when many of them are dying young physically, mentally, or spiritually? I think what was sincere “eye opener” for myself… It’ s when I look around to see the fruitlessness of our nation, and very little are taught to be warriors but wimps…
You might believe this generation is getting stronger and better educated but they lack so much luster in what we call true staying power. All because you have war clothes only doesn’t necessarily classify you as a soldier.
I see the lack of discipline to keep the respect, character, and endurance level in line… Just merely surface soldiers! And please let me keep this 100 percent. I look at some of the young people I had taken under my wing to show them better lives, who are doing exceptionally well and only to see some of my own stagnated with ignorance and sheer laziness!
I don’t have to air-out my dirty laundry to make my point. I have went back to get other children who weren’t mines to speak life back into them. I have been a community surrogate for years…I am respected for being consistent in who I am and that’s including my past imperfections.
Yes, I have made many mistakes and I have also learned from them … and I am forever learning and I don’t want to stop. Reach one is… also training them to profitable and productive human beings physically as well as spiritually! It’s not old-fashioned for children to have boundaries, It’s really okay for you to be parents. We see many movements today started with the young movement…yet, my concern can they endure like good soldiers. We must get some focal points and get all the history and wisdom from our Elders. Like any great prize fighter or soldiers. There a training base and or a boot camp. Training is necessary if we want to win the fight including the war on injustices in this country. If you think we are not in a war… you’re wrong!
