I love posting songs that have a meaning and or tell a story. Oddly some of the songs I like are about every day issues like infidelity.   Written by Johnnie Rivers in 1965, it was an succinct  tale with a twist at the end about a road trip and time of a breakup.

Glen Campbell,  recorded the song in 1967…and I like both versions actually…

 Yet, Isaac  Hayes gives it another take… about more than infidelity but about a loveless relationship  that went from bad to worse.
