Jesus said… For all who live by the sword, die by the sword… Matthew 26:52.
In 63 BC The Roman General Pompey seize Jerusalem. They occupied the city with materialism and strange gods! They begin to ruin the HOLY CITY with contamination physically and spiritually for 130 years. We must remember that pagans were running God’s place. The first order of business was already out-of-order with the wrong people in leadership!
Yet, between Caesar’s nonsense and the paganism the Jewish people became more and more angry and uncomfortable. Yes, after while the oppressed will strike up rebellion! What is the oddest things during this period of history. There were little pockets of armed resistance that General Pompey fail to see, address and underhanded many things were in rebellion.
The insurrectionists robbed the wealthy that held Rome together. Assassins were undercover who held special curved knives that could be easily concealed. And remember another rose to power during this upheaval named John of Gischala he was more evil than Menahem .
King Menahem, was so darn religious he was mentally ill and serial killer. He too hired his kind of Priest and had him killed.
The sidebar on this guy… He came as if he wanted peace and entered Jerusalem dressed as a King!
John of Gischala murdered thousands all because the Priesthood supported peace… In his reign he killed just because. He too killed a Priest and he hired his own kind of Priest which made a mockery of God he killed almost 9,000 people over a bad attitude in the temple!
My point is this… There is no true difference today. Too many of the wrong people are putting God’s people in harm’s way with just the sheer threat of war and rebellion. Jerusalem was always under fire and under seize based on openings in areas they fail to keep in check! What God did they serve when they were placed in the pressure cooker of life.
Rebellion birth rebellion! When we fail to prune the foolishness be prepared with dire consequences. Often times people like to believe one is doing the job as a General… but because of the nature of flesh… will make decisions only as if he was a Private!
I have warned all my adult life …don’t go to church without your brain. Today, if we keep this one %100 percent as ministers and take the real assessment about the madness we see and experience…No one would honestly step inside a church.
What God orchestrated for the church to be it’s hardly there and some are striving and while others are thriving. Growing up the church wasn’t the “social club” as it today! But back in the days of Christ many still did tasteless things in the Name of God. I don’t involve myself in the every day nonsense that challenges you to be everything but a witness. What witness can anyone give the world when you people see the side without the church face?
And you want the respect and want others to believe that you are a follower of Christ?
Personally there were so many other things I thought I was better qualified to do but there were also certain things that comes quite easy to me. And listen at this …That ministry might be my strongest link but they are also the most challenging! The reality about ministry it isn’t easy… and its downright difficult when the wheat alongside with the tare. There is nothing complicated about the things of God. It’s truly the contamination in the church., How is one rebellious and cannot submit to authority be a disciple for Christ? Christ followed the order of his father…
My question would then be …Who is your father? How is anyone in a posture of running a church without character or integrity? Anything might come to church but the church is to be the initial step to coming to the light not falling more and more into the darkness of church. Unfortunately, many in my life have spun “tall tales” about the goodness of the church…Like anything it has some good but don’t you dare believe that taking your guard down is an intricate part of being a follower of Christ.
I am afraid of the prayerless church, a church that doesn’t fear God, ,..and I am doubly afraid of the lack of structure in the church that anything goes! Why do we advocate getting our spiritual lives in order when people are physical wrecks. Where is the difference between the world and the church?
Sadly, I see the apostasy, I see the lust for corruption, division and power. What bible are many of them teaching and reading from? Where is the indwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT? Control and manipulations has nothing to do with God!
I believe when you grow up where you see a lot… you are not so easily duped by the games people play! I know that lessons are learned even in the dark places of life. This is how God use the evil for good. The church has so many rituals and rules and they are only follow what they believe applies to them. Other than that hypocrisy is birthed!
God is not half the ceremonies each Sabbath. Certain things that should have been stopped continued to multiply on the evil watch. Often times people end up in some horrible situations doing things out of emotions and not exercising the wisdom of God.
Most deception comes as religion… Rules and more rules… They fail to see God the way he commanded! So still today, to keep more subject to the foolishness of the day instead of the fruits of the Spirit!
